rfp-robotRFP ROBOT: Website Request for Proposal Generator

The time has come for a new website (or website redesign), which means you need to write a website request for proposal or web RFP. A Google search produces a few examples, but they vary wildly and don’t seem to speak really to your goals for developing or redesigning a new website. You need to write a website RFP that will clearly articulate your needs and generate responses from the best website designers and developers out there. But how?

Have no fear, RFP Robot is here. He will walk you through a step-by-step process to help you work through the details of your project and create a PDF formatted website design RFP that will provide the information vendors need to write an accurate bid. RFP Robot will tell you what info you should include, point out pitfalls, and give examples.

Gatti’s Pizza

Pixeldust put a lot of digital mojo into gattisjingle.com. Utilizing a musician’s flyer feel, we designed and developed a clean microsite that would ultimately serve as a bridge for the 40th anniversary, remind Austinites that Gatti’s started in Austin, and generate excitement and interest among new and existing customers. And they wanted to conquer social media.

Why Do I Care What Somebody Had For Breakfast?

Twitter seems to be everywhere these days. In fact, it was mentioned so many times in one week that Joel McHale and the people at the Soup on E! made a video compilation of references with Joel calling Twitter “the digital macarena.” Like it or not, Twitter and the rest of the social media sites and applications have transformed the Internet and every other traditional form of marketing known to mankind for the last 70 years. And Twitter can transform you.

Making Drupal 8 The Leading Mobile Drupal CMS Platform

To make Drupal the leading mobile Drupal CMS platform, the top issues it sought to address were to: • Build a Drupal.org mobile guide for Drupal contributed solutions. • Ensure ability to use Drupal’s administrative forms in mobile devices. • Convert all of Drupal 8’s existing themes to be mobile responsive. • Improve front-end performance with respect to mobile use, including support for responsive images. Fast forward three years to the eve of its long awaited release, and Drupal 8 is set to become the most “mobile first” version of the Drupal CMS framework to date, with its new responsive features being among the most anticipated. What are the results of this mobile initiative? Let’s take a look. As I sit in my rusty independent coffee shop looking for an angle for this topic, I can’t help but look around and size up the technology at work around me. Directly…

Texas State University

With nearly $300 billion in donations in 2010, it’s easy to measure the success of higher education donation campaigns. After all, substantial education donations often aid colleges in numerous areas, whether it be a scientific breakthrough or an improvement to a student’s general way of life. And Texas State University-San Marcos was no different. But their Pride in Action Campaign website was in need of a little sprucing up.

The New Playground for the Web: Foundation

These days, the use of tablets and smart phones has become so prevalent that it’s hard to believe some people still used a dial-up modem 10 years ago (*shudders with horror). But despite all of the awesomeness that is now literally at our fingertips, the increasing use of smart devices has placed a div in the road to Drupal Web Design and development greatness: designing and developing websites and applications for more than just a PC.

Founded in 1992 in the garage of a local surgeon, Pioneer has since expanded into more than 300 employees worldwide. Their strong commitment to innovation has resulted in over 130 U.S. and foreign patents and kept them at the forefront of spinal and orthopedic surgical solutions. But with all of their growth and innovative breakthroughs, Pioneer did not have a way to distribute important product information to customers online.
