rfp-robotRFP ROBOT: Website Request for Proposal Generator

The time has come for a new website (or website redesign), which means you need to write a website request for proposal or web RFP. A Google search produces a few examples, but they vary wildly and don’t seem to speak really to your goals for developing or redesigning a new website. You need to write a website RFP that will clearly articulate your needs and generate responses from the best website designers and developers out there. But how?

Have no fear, RFP Robot is here. He will walk you through a step-by-step process to help you work through the details of your project and create a PDF formatted website design RFP that will provide the information vendors need to write an accurate bid. RFP Robot will tell you what info you should include, point out pitfalls, and give examples.

Gatti’s Pizza

Pixeldust put a lot of digital mojo into gattisjingle.com. Utilizing a musician’s flyer feel, we designed and developed a clean microsite that would ultimately serve as a bridge for the 40th anniversary, remind Austinites that Gatti’s started in Austin, and generate excitement and interest among new and existing customers. And they wanted to conquer social media.

State Farm Insurance and Steve Harvey

Pixeldust worked with Sanders/Wingo to concept and build three interactive pieces for them to present to State Farm.  Pixeldust created the concepts and wrote the scripts for the three pieces, including an animated Flash movie, a Flash-based screen saver and a cartoon. All featured comedian Steve Harvey.  Pixeldust developed the creative and Flash production for the pieces. With offices in El Paso and Austin, Sanders/Wingo provides multicultural advertising and public relations services using emerging technologies and marketing platforms. State Farm Insurance offers coverage for auto, life, home, health, and more all over the United States

Audiotoniq

With over 36 million Americans experiencing some degree of hearing loss every year, it’s surprising that the hearing aid industry isn’t congested with more products. Plagued by limited availability and high prices, the hearing aid industry once offered little hope to those who suffer from all four degrees of hearing loss. In 2009, a group of engineers and entrepreneurs in Austin decided to fight back with an unconventional and advanced hearing option that could drastically improve the quality of consumers’ every day lives. Audiotoniq was born, and all they needed was a website. [] Say what now? Audiotoniq wanted a website that would identify their organization and create a strong community through user engagement. Pixeldust got to work designing and developing a clean, Drupal based interactive website that would establish Audiotoniq, emphasize user involvement, and provide precise and accurate information on hearing loss in America. Audiotoniq wanted their website to…

Testing Your Website for Mobile Devices

These days, you can do virtually anything on your mobile device. If you’ve ever been standing in a crowd of people, heard one of the generic iPhone ringers go off and watched about 14 different people pull out their cell phone, then you know what I’m talking about. Nielsen estimates that there are over 160 million smartphone users in the US. 160+.million.people. All surfing the web, and all probably playing Angry Birds. And that number is only going to get bigger.

We Don’t Serve Your Type Here: A History of Fonts on the Web – Part 1

Back in 1994, websites looked a lot different. Those of you who spent time on the web during that year probably have a good idea of what I’m talking about. If you didn’t spend time on the web that year, or if you weren’t even born yet, allow me to paint you a brief picture:

Dovetail Software

For more than 15 years, Dovetail Software has been providing customer service and support software solutions to a network of global 1000 enterprises. Their comprehensive selection of software solutions not only focuses on customer service and support, but reduces the overall cost and complexity of supporting complex product and service environments. But dovetailsoftware.com did not reflect the company’s technical stature or their ability to stay on top of industry trends. And while Dovetail’s products consistently dominated the service and support market, their website appeared fragmented and out of touch with consumers.

Pixeldust Launches Dovetail Software Redesign

Pixeldust has launched the newly redesigned Dovetail Software website. Beginning with a fresh identity, the redesigned site features a unified blog theme, easy-to-use content management system and simple architecture that conveys the technical stature worthy of Dovetail’s long-time reputation.
