Mattress Pro

Pixeldust’s challenge was to build an elegant and scalable site giving Mattress Pro an equal presence to Sealy and other large mattress manufacturers. Pixeldust designed a brand-new identity and sleek interface that incorporated Flash and a content management system. The overall result proved to be a huge success: the website played a big role in Mattress Pro’s successful merger negotiations with Mattress Firm.

State Farm Insurance and Steve Harvey

Pixeldust worked with Sanders/Wingo to concept and build three interactive pieces for them to present to State Farm.  Pixeldust created the concepts and wrote the scripts for the three pieces, including an animated Flash movie, a Flash-based screen saver and a cartoon. All featured comedian Steve Harvey.  Pixeldust developed the creative and Flash production for the pieces. With offices in El Paso and Austin, Sanders/Wingo provides multicultural advertising and public relations services using emerging technologies and marketing platforms. Artifacts of Existence

Artifacts of Existence is a collection of work by David Brown featuring a non-fiction novel, screenplay and ‘inside Hollywood’ documentary. Pixeldust designed and developed an earthy site that would help him release his work on the web. The site also features free downloads of work from local artists.


Pixeldust worked with McGarrah Jessee an Austin based advertising agency, to develop a series of interactive banner advertisements for the Whataburger. In the midst of a new product launch, Whataburger wanted to make sure their new campaign was both eye catching and reinfored their brand while conveying their menu’s new direction.

Pixeldust Launches Austin Humane Society Redesign

Pixeldust and Door Number 3 have launched the newly redesigned Austin Humane Society website. Built on the Drupal platform, the website features a sporty new look and a stronger focus on making the connection between users and the animals awaiting adoption. Pixeldust implemented an interactive pet grid where future adopters can view and sort pets by color, size, age, breed and several other features. The database is populated by a national Humane Society pet database.

Austin Humane Society

With over 3,000 pets placed a year, it’s safe to say that the Austin Humane Society’s dog-and-cat operation has given thousands of new best friends over the years. They receive an astonishing 32,000 visitors each year while more than 600 volunteers work tirelessly to find good pet homes, educate the community and raise money for the organization. But did not reflect the shelter’s whimsical tenants or provide the high-level functionality needed to engage users and establish a digital presence. And while AHS excelled at animal placement and man power, they lacked the interactive stature to reach adopters online.

Google Unveils Google Browser Size

With everything Google has been doing to enhance website efficiency lately (read: Google Site Performance and Google Caffeine), it comes as no surprise that they’ve introduced another layer to the web performance fold. If you’ve been out of the loop lately, then you may have missed Google’s big announcement about their newest communication platform called Google Wave. Why Your Site Needs a RSS Feed

One of the easiest ways to let readers know you updated your site with new content is with a RSS feed. A RSS feed (which translates to Really Simple Syndication) is an XML-based file format that allows you to share and distribute your website content.
