Some of us have lived long enough to begin to recognize the clear patterns in our lives.
In other words, we’ve understood that life is cyclical and that it tends to repeat itself and that, for whatever reason, our own lives seem to have distinct and specific and special patterns.
In my own life it seems that it can be categorized as a rollercoaster and that many things often happen at the exact same time.
It’s not enough, for example, to just change jobs (either get fired or resign or get laid off)… I also have to move homes and geographies and also have kiddos.
That can happen at the macro level but I believe it can also happen at the micro level as well. Smaller cycles that mirror the much larger movements.
Whether these things and experiences and happenstances are mere coincidences is up for debate, for sure, but the outcause is always the same: I appreciate it and am grateful for the large-sweeping movements and I don’t mind having them all happen all at once.
In fact, I think I much prefer it. If things are going to change, well, let’s have everything change with it. This is also how the most exciting things happen in my life as well as the most fun.
So, I no longer fight the patterns that have been built in and around my life. I accept and embrace this pattern fully. I can even look forward to them.
