Pixeldust Interactive and Texas A&M-Kingsville, TX, have launched the new video blog Javelina Pride website. The new site exists as an online video blogging community where students and teachers can share real-life experiences about what classrooms are really like, where to get the best food in town and uncensored opinions on dorms, dining and the rest of the TAMUK scene.

Built on a WordPress MU platform, the site gives multiple users administrative control of their own individual blog. The home page features video posts from 10-15 bloggers (made up of Javelina students and faculty) in a live feed. Each blogger has his/her own personal blogger home page and can upload unique, custom videos through Vimeo, post them to their blog and share posts across multiple social networks. Bloggers can also choose from seven different blog templates to customize their blog background.

With the launch of the new site, Texas A&M-Kingsville can bring the real world college experience online, introduce prospective students to a typical day at TAMUK and generate interest in the University. It’s valuable tool for the school to uniquely showcase their Javelina Pride.
